Cyrillic Russian Alphabet Workshop Completed

The second Cyrillic Russian Alphabet Workshop took place Wednesday, June 19th at the Berlin Peck Memorial Library.

The class was again taught by Professor Jonathan Shea, President of the Polish Genealogical Society of Connecticut and the Northeast.

The workshop began with an overview of the Cyrillic alphabet where participants learned the phonetic sound of each letter as well as how to write them in cursive.

Additional hands-on exercises were conducted with the class. Everybody walked away with a better understanding of how to use their new knowledge when researching genealogy records written in Russian.
